I bought the Hub primarily to use with my Nvidia Shield tablet. It initially connected to the Hub during setup, but shortly after that it would not connect at all. I wound up configuring the Hub with my computer. Tablet and Hub are on the same wi-fi network and my phone (an old Nexus 5) has no trouble finding the Hub. So this app works wonderfully with my phone but not at all with my tablet. For reference, my tablet is running Android 7.0 while my phone is on 6.0.1.
Just an absolutely horrible UI with a less than poor overall functionality. Seriously guys, for being the king of smart remotes, get it together with this app. The navigation makes no sense. Nested items have no rhyme or reason to them. The ability to customize is poor. We, the users deserve a much better experience.
Looks like app was never tested in real life. Very difficult to use. Unfortunately you spend 80% of the time waiting, connecting, cancelling, updating, etc. but not doing things you opened this app for. App rating accurately reflects it's usability.
It works reliably, yeah. But oh man, it is such a pain to use. For every small tweak you do to the settings, the app checks for updates and does a sync. This easily takes 30 seconds or more on a fast network connection.
Update: I hate this app so much that I'm seriously considering giving both my harmony hubs and companion remotes to someone i don't like. Absolutely the vey worst app i have ever used. I would donate money of someone could write a better and more responsive app.
Is very hard to use and the waiting time is huge. A lot of syncing and I also expecting Harmony to have a web application. Who use desktop applications these days?
