Why wont the Voice Integration feature work on my UE Boom 2 and my paired Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge? OK Google clearly works on my phone. Also where is the Alexa option in the app? I am clearly in the US, have an amazon account and am running the latest app version and firmware update on the speaker. The fancy voice integration marketing materials are the only reason i purchased my Boom 2. About to get returned for an Amazon Tap. Please Help!!
Such a flaky app. Can't select anything in Settings as the app reports the speaker isn't connected (It is - it's currently playing audio from the device). Have to manually pair the speaker after every power off. Should've realized it was rubbish from the placeholder looking app icon.
how can you make the app icon in the app drawer look even uglier. seriously though, which designer is responsible for that. it's just a black square with a white "Boom". it doesn't even have rounded edges, a shade, reflection or anything. totally boring and ugly
My biggest concern is battery usage. I use it for my 12 hour work shift and sleep alarm, it takes anywhere from 15 to 20 percent. This makes me not want to use the app at all as I can listen to audio without it, but I would miss the alarm, battery charge and visual for how much more volume I can pump out. As others have said, the logo and functionality of this app definitely need attention. BOOM adds zero interest and is too close to the edges, the type can't breath, adds nothing to branding recognition. I feel the original beta app logo is far better and could use some slight updating as an alternative. I see apps for other audio products as well, but don't see the reasoning why there needs to be so many, when you can have one cohesive app for all UE products. Thank you.
Connectivity has been on and off for a while and it's just simply not working now despite multiple reinstalls and phone restarts. Real shame. Desperately needs an update to fix this issue. Wish I would have know this before purchasing one. Should have gone with a more reliable competitor.
The double up function is very difficult to use - I have a Boom 2 and a Megaboom and it's always a challenge to double them up. As I pair one to my phone, the other one unpairs, and vice versa. Also, the NFC function doesn't seem to work. The speakers themselves are great, but the app sucks!
