Absolutely the best! I scanned my HTC EVO 4G a few months ago with Carrier IQ Detector and it detected Carrier IQ Software on my phone. Update: 2/1/2012, Sprint sent me an update to download and it removed the Carrier IQ spyware off my phone. Thank you Carrier IQ Detector for confirming that my phone doesn't have it.
Does what it says As always lookout doesnt fail its users. Unfortunately ciq is deeply embedded in samsung galaxy tab. So unless i wanna start rewriting the codes from the bottom up, yeah no.
Absolutely essential If you've already flashed a custom ROM you're safe (CM10 here), but I regularly install this on friend's phones just to see if they're being key logged. The results are grim.
App actually works.... Downloaded this app a few months ago...at the time, the app said that my Sprint HTC EVO 4G had Carrier IQ. Then a few weeks ago, I revived an updated version of the Android OS along with the Firmware update. Ran this app and it no longer detected the presence of Carrier IQ on my phone. A little research on my part explained that Sprint had stopped using Carrier IQ and that an update from them would remove it. This app proved it!
A MUST! I saw a video about the carrier iq and I freaked out. Now I am at peace knowing my phone doesnt have anything. Everyone should get this app!
AT&T skyrocket no longer has carrier IQ Works great. My AT&T Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket had carrier iq on version 2.3.5 and now with the new OTA update to 2.3.6 it has been completely removed. AT&T is finally doing something right!
