Needs to be easier to use Be sides the fact this app lacks basic insturments (yet has many exotic ones) and complex musical notations it's hard to navigate. I posted a review earlier about this issue and was told that so menu button existed and that it would solve my problems, but I could not find it. I've been trying to use the more complex options this app offers, but can't seem to figure it out. Make the app easier to understand, make a better tutorial, or create some instructions!!!!
Research the comments for info. I like this app a lot. Had to read comments thoroughly to resolve my questions, or look on YouTube. I have not yet found how to - 'export to printable A4-paper-sized JPG image file format'. Do you have an answer to this please? I read that the jpg only shows 2 staves at a time, is this so? 'Repeat' mark moves to the penultimate bar for some reason when saving? Thanks for the work put in, so far I am very happy using it.
Menu This is a great app and works great, but it was a little hard to learn how to use the menu button on the pro version. On the android, one has to hold down the back button. Why not just have a menu button? One thing that would make it better would be to add more instruments and more percussion instruments, such as battery instruments(cymbals, snare drum, bass drum, etc.). It would also be better if it had roll symbol (the 3 lines on the stem of the note) and when you edit, you don't have to quit and save.
Best of the bunch I have tried a few notation apps and found this to be one of the better ones. Saying that, there could be a lots of improvements that could be done. I see that a lot of people have complained about the note/bar sizes when saved as an image. This is easily rectified by moving the Overview Scale slider way over to the left. This can be found within the main settings.
Liked it but... I was hoping you can sort the files in alphabetical order and by date modified & created, and that you can make folders to make files more organized. Also when I try to share or transfer my midi files from the app to my Google Drive, it converts the file to a .doc format, and so I can't play it from my phone. Please fix that problem. But other than that and some few minor bugs, this is the best and easiest composing music app I've used so far. :)
Nice but.... Is there anyway to switch key signitures for some parts of a song? Like go from 4/4 to 2/4 for only a few measures? And can you put pitch changes into a song? I got the paid version because I thought I could do those things. Frankly, im not sure the paid version is really worth it if I can't even do that. I liked the free version very well and as much as this app cost, it should do about everything fancy, and yet not somethings as simple as this?
