Great Card Battler! Updated Review: A few days later and my problems were fixed, now I've been able to get into the game: the great art style, the bright characters, and the quirkiness of it all. If you love card battler games, this one is streamlined and simple to get into (good for a short commute), but with enough depth to alow for skill and strategy. Well done Ludosity!! Original Review: I've read so much about this game and how great it is, but when I play the game, right after the tutorial when the Fishbun says "brak" (I've tried it that many times) The game forces a restart and goes back to the menu screen. I've never had an issue like this before, please can you update if this is a known bug, or if there is any workaround, or fix in the pipeline as I'd love to start enjoying the game.
Fun and colorful Love this game. It's very easy to get into. A good amount of different cards and very balanced difficulty. The last boss is really tough and you may have to grind for some better cards but it's cool. The soundtrack is amazing too! Most games I would turn the music off and put my own music but I didn't need to do that with this game. A big plus, the art style reminds me of "Doug" haha.
Pretty decent game While playing it on PC maybe a little too much (yes, there is PC version on Steam) but for phone or tablet it's perfect! Game have pretty simple mechanics compared to MtG, Yugiou or others which means you can get into it in no time. Graphic style is pretty charming as you may see, character are funny and story is on good level for mobile game with lot of humor. Only "minus" if i may say so is the learning curve - it's extremely flat. AI is literally braindead until you get to 3-4th location. So, you might say that game is really forgiving at least in the beginning.Oh, and it's $2(4)! Seriously, this game is alot better than most of the $5 titles, so... Ok, still reading this? Really, just go and see that TotalBiscuit has to say about it!
Fun offline fusion of a Trading Card Game (TCG) and a puzzle game. Most trading card games require an online connection. Card City nights does not, and works just fine offline. the game has a fun, quirky sense of humor. I'm familiar with some of the developer's other games and a number of the characters make cameos as cards or payers in Card City nights. I'm particularly pleased with how the game has distracted my eldest son from more violent games. It's just weird enough to keep an eight year old interested
I'm not into it. It's a card battle game, sort of mixed with a match three style. Match three cards and attack. Cards are random and there's not that much strategy to it. The game is trying to be quirky and weird, and it has a nice art style. I just don't feel like sitting through the 10+ minute it takes to beat each characters. Why make every match a best of 3? This is mobile gaming, things should be quick and easy. 1 and done.
Love it so far. Great humor, fun game... But I have played the tutorial twice and both times it crashed, went back to the title screen and started over from the beginning. I have a Moto X on 4.4.2, I'll try some troubleshooting... Will grade better when it works...edit, clear data and reboot and it seems to be working better... Also avoided the Google+ sign in this time. Will give 5th start once tested.
