The app is great in theory but doesn't work in practice. After 3 days I had skied 0.2k according to the tracking. Worked for some of our group. Seemed better on iphones. Tried again on holiday this year. Worked better this time but still failed to track all my skiing - lost half a day. Very good for checking open lifts as many lifts and pistes were closed because of the weather. Didn't manage to work out photos. Camera at the Angel of Arpette didn't seem to work. Also I don't appreciate getting a message at 1.00am to tell me my lift pass had expired on the last night of the holiday!
The app gets stuck a lot. The app did not record most of my activity. The route-finding feature sometimes does not find a requeated route although more than one exists. The interface is not intuitive and app full of useless resort commercials. I installed other ski app and it worked perfectly fine with no problems. Only Yuge had problems. I recommand you do not install it and use a simple paper piste map instead.
This app used 2,24 gb over few days ! Be careful when using it. The tracking record isn't perfect but it is a hardware issue (galaxy S7). The ranking is quite bullshit as someone with a cheap phone (and gps hardware) will have "better" record.
Be very wary of this app. I'm on Three in the UK and that means i benefit from "Feel at Home" which allows me 12gb of data per month on roaming. This app exceeded this in under 5 hours (whilst only using 114mb of foreground data; what's the rest?) which is just plain wrong (I've incurred significant additional charges due to this). I've got the chart showing data sky rocket when the app was turned on (it looks like a vertical line!).
I like the general approach, but app caused over 1.4 gb of traffic within a week. Location sharing with fellow yugers in resort map would be nice feature. When zooming in resort map, app gets stuck at times. Distance and altitude measurement is not accurate comparing two phones. Using existing resort metadata rather than raw GPS data might help...?
As a seasonaire I recommend this app to all of our guests! The sos button is a real winner, definitely mskes me feel safer on tbe slopes. The weather and conditions forecasting is accurate and the live Web cams and lift updates are helpful. The rewards badges are a great way to encourage exploring and adventures for pros, families and beginners: everyone can feel like they've achieved something. The performance tracking is good fun and always encourages friendly competition between our guests, staff and other friends. Best app I've ever downloaded, thanks for a great and safe season!
You asked for it, we did it!
- Important technical optimization on tracking and routes planning,

And as usual, this last update includes app corrections and optimizations.
