Fortunately, there are a few simple steps we can take to counteract and even reverse the daily toll that being shackled to a chair can take. Performing a few stretches and exercises each day, or even simply remembering to sit up straight when we begin to slouch, may be all that it takes.
PosturePal is designed to train you to sit up straight at regular intervals, and coach you in a few basic stretches and exercises which target common problems for those who spend most of their time sitting. Currently, it features:

If any pain beyond a reasonable amount from light stretches or muscle contractions is felt, stop immediately and consult a professional before continuing.
