Madagascar, arts of the Great Island

Not since 1946 has an exhibition given such recognition to the arts of Madagascar. Through an unprecedented selection of 350 pieces, the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac invites you on a historical, aesthetic and ethnological journey through Malagasy culture, spanning from the 10th to the 20th centuries. The exhibition displays the island’s still widely unknown heritage in three main sections showcasing artworks, pieces, and documents, old and new. In the company of Aurélien Gaborit, curator of this unique exhibition, this audioguide will take you, across its 20 commentaries, on an exploration of the island, where the worlds of the living and of the ancestors intertwine.
