About this game

Robo Defense is the ultimate portable tower defense experience. Featuring open maps, upgrades, achievements and nice graphics.

The full version features 5 maps with unlimited upgrades and difficulty levels.

A free version is also available (try it first!).

Free version progress is automatically imported into the full version, should you choose to upgrade.

HTC Desire, San Francisco: Turning off "High Quality Graphics" fixes known issues.

Galaxy S: Turn on "16-bit Backgrounds" to fix studdering performance issues.

Atrix: Disable sound to improve stability

Performance tips: If the game is running sluggishly, try playing fully "zoomed in". Turning off "High Quality Graphics Mode", in the options menu, will also help on some phone models.

I have this game installed on 2 Samsung tablets and a Samsung phone. None of them are more than 2 years old. It will not run properly on my S6 Lite tablet. The menu button is unresponsive. It works fine on the other 2 devices. Update: it runs on my new Chromebook Spin 713, but the menu button is unresponsive. I have to restart the game to access the menus. And for some reason it's a lot harder to play on this device.

So refreshing to play a mobile game that isn't pay-to-win. The free version is fine, but with such a low price, it was a no-brainer to shell out a couple bucks for the paid version. Achievements and reward points system is simple, but elegant. At a certain point, it might feel like a grind to some people, but it still keeps my mind engaged. I like to play a level or two at a time and then take a break. And the difficulty progression is completely self-paced.

Love this game for what it is. Low pressure low reward, low payoff, it's just laid back gaming. You can choose levels and progress through difficulties. It's not addictive. It's as perfect old school antithesis to modern psychologist engineered to keep you addicted and charging your credit card game with celebrities in commercials during the Super Bowl... This is the third or fourth phone I've downloaded this game.
