You should play it. The mechanics are easy to understand, difficulty is just right, achievements are achievable and the upgrades they unlock are well thought out, the sound design is great, the pixel art are solid, and I haven't had any bugs. Best of all, the game is FREE with no ads! This is genuinely an amazing game. If all mobile games were like this, I wouldn't need to game on PC.

This game is proof that not all mobile games are just tedious, soulless cash grabs. Hoplite is a game that really makes you think before you act. One wrong move, and you'll get bombarded by arrows and fire! However, Hoplite is also fair, as it gives you time to analyze your surroundings before you make a move. It's kind of like a puzzle game that way. Overall, Hoplite is a great game for people who like turn-based strategy games.

Great game! It's a game of tactical strategy and wits without stupid time constraints (which I hate specifically), luck-factor and whatnot. If there's ANY game I'd gladly pay for then it's this one. However, after level 17 or so it quickly becomes so exceptionally difficult (only because I'm a tactical dimwit) that, for me, it becomes just too difficult. And I don't like difficulties in my life ^_^
