It is known that the main challenge facing those engaged in learning and memorizing the Qur’an is not just memorizing new verses, but rather consolidating what has been memorized over time, just as memorizing new verses often makes you forget much of what you have already memorized, due to the many and intertwining similarities in most of the verses of the Holy Qur’an. Accordingly, mastering the Qur’an requires a very strict and intensive daily revision, which makes most people stop in the journey of memorizing the Qur’an at one point or another because of the accumulation of similarities and the increase of stumbling blocks, or falling into confusion in choosing the first part to review, or the infiltration of boredom into the heart and loss of determination, or all of that combined.

Makeen is a very effective and practical solution to all of the aforementioned difficulties. Shortly after you start using it, you will realize, Allah willing, that you can master the entire Holy Quran, and that you can go to your grave with the Quran in your heart! The solution is manifested by the following points:
1. When using the application, you not only read the verses repeatedly when reviewing and memorizing as usual, but you try to remember each word and then pass your finger over the word to know if you are right or wrong, and that has the following benefits:
-- That attempt to recall verses excites your mind and motivates you, as long hours may pass while you study the Qur’an using the application without feeling the time. You will get addicted to using the application and reap a great reward at the same time.
-- Trying to remember the words instead of repetitive reading also strengthens the neurotransmitters for preserving information in the brain, which helps keep the verses in your long-term memory.
2. If your goal is to memorize Surat Al-Baqarah, for example, you have to choose it in the application daily, and the application will test you first on the verses that you have learnt before for review. The nice thing is that the application will not show you all the revision verses with the same frequency, Instead you will see the verses in which your level of memorization is weaker at a higher rate. You may see some verses several times a day, other verses once a day, others once a week, and so on. After completing the daily required revisions, Makeen offers you other new verses to start learning and memorizing. The process of scheduling revisions and learning new verses is based on an effective and practical algorithm that we have developed over many years and has proven its efficiency to many. This process gives you the following benefits:
-- You will no longer be preoccupied with setting a schedule for the review. All you have to do is choose the part you want, and the Makeen will play this role on your behalf with high efficiency.
-- You will make the best use of your time that you devote to memorizing the Qur’an. Makin program focuses more on your mistakes, and you will spend most of your time studying the stumbling blocks, unlike the traditional method, in which you unfairly distribute your time, so you review the verses that you master as much as reviewing the verses that you often mistake.
3. When you memorize the Qur’an in the normal way, your mind involuntarily associates what you have memorized with visual factors such as the beginning and end of pages, and things like that. Although this may speed up the memorization process at first, it is harmful in the long run, as visual factors quickly fly from memory, and it is against our goal. Makeen deliberately excludes visual factors in a large way, which forces your mind not to rely on them and to rely instead on the meanings of the verses and their interdependence and what has been proven in the long run.
4. Displaying the verses word by word makes the application very useful in alerting you to the exact places where you make mistakes: such as:

Jazakum Allah Khayr for creating this app to memorize the Quran. By far one of the best applications and strategies to help with memorizing. My family love it and wish it was also available for iOS too (because they ended up using it with me). I would also recommend two features: the ability to create multiple profiles, and the ability to erase your progress and start over.

No adds 😍 This app has changed my whole perspective on my ability to memorize the quraan. And I love how it challenges as well as encourages me to learn in an easy way with multiple options for what I want to memorize. BUT... I was sad that after trying to share it with friends and encouraging them, that it wasn't available on iphone. I would suggest to make it available for more people to use and benefit from. I would also suggest adding the actual mushaf to read from in the same app.

It's a very good app. And I enjoy revising what I have learnt from the quran. However, as a non arab I would like to make suggestions about new features. 1. Word by word translation as a quran corpus. Translations help in memorising the message my ALLAH have revealed. 2. As a non arab It is difficult for me to connect the words if shad'da is not used. Or the urdu style of quran in which all zaer, zabar, etc are used. These two features will be really helpful. May ALLAH reward you for your effort
