The mobile app on mango cultivation is developed at Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore. This mobile app has been developed for the benefit of farmers and stakeholders involved in mango cultivation. The application includes crop production including soil & climate requirement, propagation, spacing, planting , training & pruning, INM, irrigation and harvesting. The crop management aspects comprises of disease management for the various diseases affecting mango crops, viz., anthracnose, blossom blight, leaf blight, powdery mildew, dieback, etc., and the pest management modules comprises of infestation of fruit fly , mango hopper, stone weevil, mealy bug, shoot borer, stem borer, etc. The above mdules includes its symtoms and control measures for the users to manage their crop. Further, technologies and various machineriesdeveloped at IIHR for mango cultivation are also included. the major technologies are Mango special (technology for foliar nutrition of micronutrients), spongy tissue (Arka Saka Nivaraka), mango fruit fly and stone weevil management and pheromone trap for mango fruit fly. Machineries and tools developed at IIHR includes root media sieving and bag filling machine, manual harvester, tractor operated hydraulic platform for pruning, spraying and harvesting, mango slicer, raw mango peeler , hot water treatment plant and dipping tool for spongy tissue.
