I've followed this app for quite a while, and, now that I've purchased it, will sheepishly admit I've used a bootleg of it, once in a while, for a while. I haven't used it often enough to justify spending the bucks, as it's been slow beyond comprehension on every Android device I've used, and didn't seem to recognize different fonts. I like reading the Prabhupada translation and transliteration of the Gita, the Bhagavata, and others, and other texts I enjoy and the Balaram font and other embedded fonts.
Freezes from time to time. Cannot highlight from time to time. Books are lathargic to open. Otherwise a somewhat versitile app. Loose another star as you changed the colored tabs to an a in a circle. Have to cut and paste notes sometimes 3 times to get it to stick. Now looking for another app.
The update wasn't nearly as bad as some are claiming. Bookari is a great app that supports many formats, and allows you sync across devices. It's not without fault (like it not being possible to to show reading progress as a percentage rather than the seemingly random page number format it currently insists on), but as soon as bugs like that are worked out, it will easily get the full five stars ;^>
v4.1 still skips pages for epubs. This is surprising given that v3.x.x did not.
Update ruined a great paid app Some PDFs won't open properly now. Several book collections have been wiped out but the files are on the device. A search in the app for the book shows its there in the collection I assigned it to but I cannot access or see the collection in the collection filter screen. The app is super slow to open. The interface is now totally cumbersome. I have to close my Collections slide out to see the details view properly. The book cover thumbs in the details view are all out of whack and cropped oddly.
Love it At the moment easily the best app for ebook. Of course ever app has its short comings but it has exceeded my expectations. I do hope that the developers Mantano Reader also make Windows version as there is a serious shortage of a good ebook reader for for devices like surface pro.
