Addictive and Challenging A great little game with slick animations, tough foes and equally difficult puzzles. There's deliberately almost no help documentation, so you're left somewhat to your wits to discover what you can do magic-wise until you start discovering scrolls that gradually introduce you to the nuances of spellcasting (which is a blast!). Inventory manipulation is naturally a bit fiddly on a 5" phone screen (I keep accidentally using potions instead of moving them), but on my Nexus 7 it's easy. I'm on Level 4 so I can't comment on the game's length since I don't know how many levels there are, but if it goes to ten I'll be happy. Great value for money!
Good, but one major prob Im stuck on a puzzle in an area with no monsters. Theres no way to load a previous save and the game autosaves when you quit. Only when you die do you have the option to revert to a checkpoint. So since theres no monsters i cant die. Since i cant die i cant revert. So im stuck on this stupidly hard puzzle i cant beat cuz the door shut behind me. Totally killed my enjoyment of the game.
Eyes of the beholder homage If your a fan of the old eyes of the beholder games you will love this. Simple controls, good game play. A I on the monsters could be better. Currently it has 10 levels wish it had many more. Love it. Well done dev
Although everything else works. I found this game to be utterly boring. The promised puzzles were non existent except for some mediocre bland puzzles in the trail of puzzles. The enemies were all exactly the same with different skins. I made it to level 7 apparently out of 10 and then I got utterly bored. Come-on man. I payed good money for this game. And I got nothing to show for it. Step it up! I feel robbed If you guys want a really good game. Try underwell. It had real puzzles and real treasure to be found. Be warned though. It's only 4 levels.
This game is the Definition of grinding You can't save your own game so you are forever repeating. Boring graphics. Poor interaction. Yuck all around.
Maybe the dev won't give out hints, but, for the 1st hidden passageway on floor 1, here's what to do...right nearbye that gate with the chest, To the left are 2 conjoining walls, tap on ( I believe?) The one to the immediate left & VIOLA!! SECRET PASSAGEWAY TO THE CHEST!! ( you get some chain leggings out of that one) later on, you'll come across a corridor that has 4 gates areas. If you go past the 1st set which are across each other, on the wall to the right, In the middle, is one of the 2 switches you can't see but, if you face that well & tap on it, you'll get a thing saying it won't open. From there, you have to hunt down the switch that will make it open. I believe it's in either the cross shaped area ( it looks like that when you go into it and go all the way around it) or, somewhere in back of those gated areas. Just keep tapping the walls all around & you may hear something slide open. When that happens, go back & BINGO!! ANOTHER SECRET WAY IN to get that next chest which I believe has a chain helmet in it. Onto other things where I already did a review. If you pick the Priest or witch from the hero's hall NOTE THE FACT THEY DO NOT HAVE FOCUS ITEMS BUT WILL HAVE A "VITAE SCROLL". It seems that you just can't read the scroll & hope for the spell to work. I'm still guessing that "Vitae" means healing, but, even if you "borrow" an orb from a wizard character (if you pick one ontop of either that priest or witch) you can't cast the spell to see wth it does. Best team I've used so far is the knight looking guy with a shield, the kossack looking barbarian guy, the male archer / rogue & female lightning wizard.( you can sub her out of you want for the male flame caster wizard) Farthest I got with this team is about the 6th floor. P.S.- you can QUICKLY turn & to a point, move backwards or just move backwards if you're in a corridor that'll let you do this so you can "snipe" any incoming enemies with either your male archer/ rogue or wizard. The only things that this may not work on most seem to be the goblin enemies where they have a higher % of dodging & / or hp to absorb damage. Extra note, on LEVEL 4 ( I think? It's the one where the maze goes around in a circle a lot before seeing a switch on the wall that will let out a green poisonous spider) I still can't find the key for another gated area. If anyone does, please tell me where it is. I figured maybe another hidden passageway where I looked on EVERY floor area for it but no good so far. Darn thing has to be somewhere??
