I liked what I saw when I first began using this app. The U.S. English may as well be U.K. English, because what we call a Ramp, the app calls a Slip Road. Getting used to her voice took a bit, as she sounds kind of creepy. But was doing well, until attempting to pin a 1200 mile trip, and the app became unresponsive. Shut down what I was doing, and started over, same problem. It freezes up so much, the only thing lacking is a blue screen. What does this app run on? Software by Windows?

I had been using this app for years and it had been working fine. The latest update seems to have broken something. First it started insisting every time I launched that I really should buy TomTom maps - it didn't take the hint after the 500th time I declined that I really wasn't interested. Then all of a sudden it needed a new key of some kind, and refused to launch at all. I eventually uninstalled it (losing all my favorites) then reinstalled, and now it refuses to download the OSM map for California correctly. It downloads 226MB of 227MB, then tells me "waiting for peers" which it never finds. Right now, because of this, the app is completely unusable. I wish I could give it a higher rating but as it is, it really deserves zero stars - the two I gave it are based on past performance.

December 2018 update breaks the search function completely. Used to be able to search for a business of a certain type near the present location, destination, etc. This is all gone. This app was always spotty for navigation, but now it doesn't perform basic search. ///// Reply: no, google autocomplete doesn't give local results most of the time. For example, a search for a local chain gave only results across the country in another state. Sorry to hear about fees, hope you can find a way.
