This used to be a good app for walking and hiking, it used to show you up to date stopwatch, distance, estimated calories, toggled with GPS map. Then it updated in February. Now it only shows your "top speed" during your workout: not current speed, not your distance, just a useless estimated speed. At the end of every mile it will speak an update of estimated speed per mile but nothing onscreen. This app has turned to crap. It is probably to force us to upgrade to a paid subscription... fahgetaboutit! If this doesn't get fixed soon I am uninstalling.
Just updated the app, after a while of not updating, and now every time I try to connect my ANT+ Heart Rate Monitor (HRM), the app crashes. If not for this current, usage-ending, problem, I would give it a 4 star rating. Only 4 because it never remembered my non-UnderArmor HRM, and I would have to reconnect EVERY time I wanted to use it.
Almost as good as the website, which also has gotten better with time. The only thing I wish you could do that I can't figure out on the app is search your own old routes. Other than that I'm happy! ☺
It has an extensive selection of activities, and a search option; which makes it easy to find your sport. It seems to be quite generous when it comes to counting calories burned; so I wouldn't trust it too much. It stopped recognizing my HR monitor; no matter how many times I tried to pair it.
I subscribed to this app because of the routes and feedback, but what I have found incredibly disappointing is that I cannot create anything under a 12 week training plan. I run quite a bit but don't always use the app, so it naturally assumes that I can't possibly run a half on the fly. Unless this gets fixed, I will DEFINITELY be dropping my subscription. Would not recommend for avid runners who aren't religious about tracking runs.
This latest version app can not connect to my chest band via ANT+. This app always closes itself when I am trying to connect to my chest band. I am so dissappointed. It is used to work well with the older version.
