Intuitive, useful, but... All of the "mapmy___" apps do a horrible job tracking altitude. It grossly exaggerates the vertical distance I've gone. It also doesn't include vertical distances in its report of total distance traveled and thus underestimates the distance by a large margin for steep hikes. They need to work on their algorithms that process accelerometer data.
Most annoying walking partner ever. This app does a fine job of mapping, but insists on loudly announcing mile totals and statistics during your walk. The voice can be turned off (but not during your hike), although it often turns itself back on.
Works well enough to ignore flaws It's not perfect, but it does a fine job tracking your course and distance. I also like that you can go online and download your hikes and display them on Google Earth.
Deceptive ad placement. There is a timed ad at the bottom of the screen right below the start button. It takes the place of the start button just as your finger gets there. Irritating yes, but when it's 7° and your gloves are off it is more than I can ignore. I'm switching.
OK, but slow to start Works well ... after it starts. Like its map following and display.
Not as good as it should be No ability to pause in one location and restart in another, ads can actually prevent app from starting to record, inferior to the old Google tracks app. So, basically functional but disappointing.
Various bug fixes.
