I used to love this app. It was reliable in tracking distance, and I found the verbal cues extremely helpful when tracking my speed. But over the last few months it had become extremely unreliable. It shuts off when it's too cold out (I live in Boston, so that's pretty much going to be all winter), and all of the sudden it stops working if I open another app after opening MapMyRun. For instance, I have to make sure I open my podcast or music app before MapMyRun. If I do it the other way around, MapMyRun just turns itself off. Once I find a suitable replacement I'll be deleting MapMyRun.
Previously left negative review when runs didn't sync. I'm using a garmin now so all that problem has gone away. I like the way this app is laid out will continue to use
Very accurate and consistent. A little trouble transitioning from Wi-Fi to data when going out for a run, but just takes a minute to switch over. Great app. Update: Wi-Fi to data transition has been much smoother over last couple months.
I use it all the time. Not as crazy about the whole to finish feature but other than that it's very helpful. Good to compare your data from prior activities and to collect it all in one place.
My favorite of all the running apps. Unfortunately though, after my Oreo update, the app no longer appears on my lock screen. I loved being able to pause/start quickly from there.
Perfect for trail runs when you don't have mile markers to estimate distance. It's also helpful to get an idea of pace.
