Map my walk + Simple to set up to your body settings. Easy to use. Uses GPS to follow you on your walk, so it works even through housing estates and across fields! You can also change the type of workout to other things instead of walks eg aerobic workout, gym etc so although it's called 'MapMyWalk' - it can do so much more!
Fairly good app I have used it for about four years on a near-daily basis. Occasionally it cannot be trusted as it will not start recording until you are well into your workout. Today, it was so late starting that I found I did a 4:13 mile. Not bad for someone in their 70s, when my usual first mile is about 16:00. I do like the fact it keeps everything and you can call it up when you want it. I would have rated it higher a year ago.
Register for spam Locks you out if you don't register and won't close if you don't. So guess what registering gets you.- Update: 09/17/2016- nothing's changed; still spamming the daylights out of registered/paid users.

Works Great app for what I need. Interface is a little clunky, but it meets my needs.
Good App Works well. Announces progress every mile. Hope they make this user parameter driven. I walk two and a half miles each day.
