Didn't give the best, most optimized rout even thought I know there is a much better way with less traffic lights, and most steady green lights that takes a way less time to reach your destination! Mapsqust just waste your time , it took me 10 more minutes to get to the place I was driving, will keep it as a back up in case should my google maps or here we go faild!
I've only used it one time since downloading it but so far I have no complaints. Hoping it'll be louder than Google Maps (car needs work, 1st thing=muffler!!) my copilot(aka-boss) loves to talk, ALOT! LoL & can't really tell the boss to shut up, ya know) so the 2hr ride home will be the test then I'll update my review. TTFN KPG
App works great overall! Probably the best overall maps app out there. Only one thing is lacking behind, the search engine, when searching for a place it doesn't work the best. I put in a store name and street name and it doesn't always find it because I didn't type in one missing word. Can we update the search engine to match more with keywords?
MapQuest has been doing this longer than Google yet it still doesn't have offline functionality or a way to accurately search for specific things along a route with miles detail. I want to use MapQuest so bad but because of these two things I have to settle for Google maps navigating me incorrectly
It's just okay. When you rotate your phone to landscape, the direction list pops up and the map shrinks. This is most annoying given how my phone fits in my car dock and the fact that I prefer landscape for navigation. Honestly, this hasn't really swayed me from the current king, Google Maps.
By far the best traveling app. While travelling outside the U.S., my standard go-to Google Maps was insufficient as well as Waze and a couple of others Mapquest will now be my go-to app for directions wherever I am.
Somehow, Lewis and Clark made it without MapQuest. Impressive. Luckily, you can use the app, now with the following impressive features.
• Play audio as a hands-free call (permissions required)
• See the Bluetooth device being used
• Prompts for when we don’t have your current location
• Long-tap shortcuts for Android 7.1 or higher
• Your location icon (in perspective mode) is repositioned to show more of the road ahead
• Now with more bug fixes!
