I bought the pro version 10 years ago and have been a happy user and recommended the app to several friends and colleagues. I did update by mistake and have to say, the current app is a catastrophe. First of all it wants me to upgrade again with a premium(expensive) pricing, which apparently does not work at all. Then it switches the map storage path always back to default and apparently limits the downloads to 10 maps. 1 map is just a little region, sometimes not even covering a whole city.

It used to be the greatest map, I was even paying a yearly fee to support them... now they upgraded with a Pro option, disregarding everything they were offering for paid subscribers before, and they even deleted all the maps I downloaded for my planned trip without my consent nor any warning, all the maps !!! I have none left. I just arrived in a foreign country, and I just found out that everything I planned is gone. I'm now stranded without any tools... WORST SERVICE EVER !!!

JUMPED THE SHARK. I've been a HUGE fan of this app for well more than a decade, back when it was a start-up and they charged for the app, and I paid. How do I know it was more than a decade? It made our Gear of the Year list on our Travel Blog in 2013. Subsequently it was purchased, made free and improved greatly since that time. However, now they want $32/year for a subscription that allows more than 10 maps downloaded. Sure a developer is entitled to make money, but $32 per year???
