I used to love this app but I hate the more recent updates. The route info bar takes up too much of the screen when not in navigation, while simultaneously the new start button covers up the elevation profile. Also very annoying that there is no way to set the default to walking, when I never use this app for motorized transport and I think few people do.

This is my most used app for the last seven years of full time traveling. I like the interface, the low resource usage, and its responsiveness. It's easy to mark places and makes travel planning easy. Most walking trails show up in the maps, so it's good for city walking and also on the hikes. I even use it for driving navigation sometimes.

Unusable: used to be an amazing offline map. A few times when travelling to less popular spots where Google Map was completely wrong and got me lost, I was saved by maps.me. Have used it in 35+ countries & the driving directions are also great. However, the current version simply does not work. I keep getting a "no available space" error when trying to add new maps (two different devices, both with plenty of space in system and SD card). Tried to reinstall: now the downloaded maps have no roads.
