## Graph It!

FEMA

1

GraphIt is a utility that is used to display on a Cartesian plane any mathematical function, which can be f(x)=2, f(x)=2*x, f(x)=sin(x) ecc... The management function is entrusted to you: you can add more or modify existing ones.

The integration of functions is facilitated by self-completion of statements, also expressions of the interpreter is very flexible and allows the inclusion of any function: even the most complex are recognized and interpreted correctly.

The main functions recognized are: abs(x), acos(x), acosh(x), asin(x), asinh(x), atan(x), avg(x1,x2,...,xN), ceil(x), combin(x,y), cos(x), cosh(x), e(), exp(x), fact(x), floor(x), lg(x), ln(x), log(x,y), max(x1,x2,...,mN), min(x1,x2,...,xN), mod(x,y), pi(), pow(x,y), rand(), sign(x), sin(x), sinh(x), sqrt(x), sum(x1,x2,...,xN), tan(x), tanh(x), toDeg(x), toRad(x).

The graph allows an accurate view of the trend of function at any point in the plane. You can zoom and pan through the classical gestures.

There is also a tool which can calculate the value of the functions included, given the value of x (via a number or expression).

## Geometry Pad

Geometry Pad is a dynamic geometry application for Android tablets with universal appeal. Teachers can use it in a geometry class for better students engagement and deeper understanding of geometric concepts. Students would benefit from using Geometry Pad while working on geometry assignments at home as well. ## Unit Circle (Trigonometric)

The unit circle or trigonometric circle is a circle whose center is located at the origin of the Cartesian plane and its radius is 1 (one). It is used in the study of trigonometric functions such as sine, cosine and tangent.

- Understand how the projections of the arcs sine, cosine and tangent work in the unit circle (or trigonometric circle);

- Why the values of sine and cosine are limited to -1 and +1;

- Why the tangent of 90 ° and 270 ° are not defined

- When and where the values of the trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, tangent) are positive, negative, zero or null;

## Quadratic Calculator

This calculator will give you the area bounded by the curve above the x-axis, the gradient the curve and where the __ value of the curve occurs.

In elementary algebra, a quadratic equation (from the Latin quadratus for "square") is any equation having the form ax^2+bx+c=0

where x represents an unknown, and a, b, and c are constants with a not equal to 0.

If a = 0, then the equation is linear, not quadratic.

The parameters [1] a, b, and c are called, respectively, the quadratic coefficient, the linear coefficient and the constant or free term.

Geometric methods were used to solve quadratic equations in Babylonia, Egypt, Greece, China, and India. The Egyptian Berlin Papyrus, dating back to the Middle Kingdom (2050 BC to 1650 BC), contains the solution to a two-term quadratic equation. In the Indian Sulba Sutras, circa 8th century BC, quadratic equations of the form ax2 = c and ax2 + bx = c were explored using geometric methods. Babylonian mathematicians from circa 400 BC and Chinese mathematicians from circa 200 BC used geometric methods of dissection to solve quadratic equations with positive roots. Rules for quadratic equations were given in the The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art, a Chinese treatise on mathematics. These early geometric methods do not appear to have had a general formula. Euclid, the Greek mathematician, produced a more abstract geometrical method around 300 BC. Pythagoras and Euclid used a strictly geometric approach, and found a general procedure to solve the quadratic equation. In his work Arithmetica, the Greek mathematician Diophantus solved the quadratic equation, but giving only one root, even when both roots were positive.

In 628 AD, Brahmagupta, an Indian mathematician, gave the first explicit (although still not completely general) solution of the quadratic equation ax2 + bx = c as follows: "To the absolute number multiplied by four times the [coefficient of the] square, add the square of the [coefficient of the] middle term; the square root of the same, less the [coefficient of the] middle term, being divided by twice the [coefficient of the] square is the value."

## Equation Solver (System, 3&2)

This application will solve a system of linear equations with either three variables or two variables. For example, let's say you have the system of equations:

2x - y = -1

5x + 4y = 30

This application will either solve for x & y, or tell you that there is no solution or an infinite number of solutions.

This app will also solve system of equations with three variables, x, y, & z. Let's say you have a system of equations:

x + y + z = 10

2x - y - 3z = 16

.5x + 2y + 4z = 6

This application will solve for x, y, and z or tell you when the system is unsolvable.

Please leave constructive feedback and I'll address those issues as soon as I can.

## Don't Tap or Touch The Shark!

How good are your reflexes and coordination? The goal of the game is simple; touch as many dolphins in thirty seconds as you can without touching the water or touching a shark! If you touch the water, you'll hear a "splash" sound and you will lost 6 points, but the game will keep going. if you touch a shark, you'll hear a "chomp" sound and the game is over. For every 10 dolphins you touch, you'll gain 1 second on the timer. What's your high score going to be? ;)
