The best free app for texting from your computer that I have used. Battery usage is a little high, and the web interface could use a bit more polish. However, I can easily live with those things given the solid service and nonexistent price tag.
I am a recent convert from MightyText and have been pleasantly surprised at how well this works. About the only thing I would add is the ability to delete SMS on my phone through the web app, but I'm not sure if that is a limitation of the app or Android. The Chrome extension works flawlessly - no messages missed or dropped. I would love to see the ability to view the pop-out app from the toolbar extension instead of the web app. Loving the fact that Yappy is responsive and not taking away features to make them Pro. Shows integrity all around. Thanks so much for the great service, guys - you rock!
Love it! Just switched from pushbullet and I can say it functions much much better! After reading the blog on your site about the GCM issue, it was really clear where mightytext and PB failed. I had emailed both dev's to find a solution, but its been months. Well I'm here to stay! My only suggestion to the dev's would be to do a bit of a rehaul on the themes. The one's available to the free users are not bad at all, but the white on white everywhere strains the eyes a bit. A material dark would be a godsend! Or a night mode. Keep on doing what you guys are doing!
Meh, not a good pushbullet replacement for me I'm looking for an app that has a chrome and Firefox extension that allows me to get alerts on my browser and send text. I don't like that we have to use their site. It's just not convenient enough for me.
I'm using Yappy that is "connected" to my SMS application EvolveSMS (which is awesome!)on my Nexus 6P and everything seems to be working great. I really enjoy being able to reliably send and receive text messages on my laptops and have gladly pre-paid for the year.
They forced my hand. When push bullet decided to break my bank for sms capabilities I tried yappy. It's works great and is really easy to use. Yappy then sent me a promotion for pro features for alot less than push bullet a month. I don't really use the pro features but I subscribed anyway to support the developers for doing it the right way.
