Old School FUN!!!!! When/If multiplayer becomes available, the "hint" option should be excluded..... the game has always been won by using your brain (strategy and deduction).....not by peeking, sneaking, blocking..or whatever else Hint provides that sucks the fun from the game. My 6 yr old doesn't even need a Hint
Love the game, just like the board game, just wish I could skip forward passed the animations, they really make a fully loaded game drag on.
As an adaptation, it hits all the right marks. It looks sleek, and the AI makes a worthy opponent. Sadly, this will never join the ranks of the likes of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and other highly praised mobile "ports" of beloved games, so long as a victory can be BOUGHT instead of earned fairly. IAPs in the aforementioned titles serve to enhance & expand the original game. IAPs in this mobile Clue(do) are a recipe for disaster whenevermultiplayer launches, when players who can afford $30+ of Hints will suck all the fun out of what should be a fair, logic-based game.
The game feels and looks much better than the earlier versions we have experienced on the PC years ago. I find it strange that there is no way to play this game with other live players, even locally. Why not? As it is derived from a board game, it seems to be missing a major element without the ability to connect with other players.
Very good port, but it would be nice to have the option of playing with other live players in the room (I.e. broadcast to TV and pass the tablet for control during each players turn, or log in via smartphone on a website to submit turns). Since this is a paid app the expectations are always higher, but overall I am happy with the purchase and look forward to playing.
