I like getting the information.thinks !
Bummer they couldn't keep up with the Grammys promotion. Downloaded and signed up for an account with the app, but overwhelming interest got the better of them and it didn't do much. Pretty similar to visa checkout...There needs to be an app that allows tap and pay with your own debit card without the need for special affiliated partner card. Some kinks to work out, but could be useful as a quick one touch checkout option online. Right now I just don't see the need to use it if you don't have a tap and pay partner.
I downloaded it due to wanting to buy those deals on the night of the Grammy's. Come to find out, I needed a card that has tap and pay capabilities. Completely worthless for someone who has a Chase debit card. Yeah...they probably want only mastercard credit card holders to reap the benefits and not anyone else Or people who have a tap and pay credit card. I don't believe in credit cards or credit card debt. I guess I will always use Groupon. They are always more than happy to welcome me as a customer!lol
The app is far from the ease of use that Android Pay offers. I was never able to use the picture method to enter my card information, it had to be added manually. IDK if this applies to all cards, but my bank required me to call customer service to complete the activation within the app. Having PIN only authentication is kind of a nuisance, and fingerprint authentication would be a highly appreciated feature.
Added my card, verified it with my credit union, but MC never finished the verify process. There is no help or support contact in either the app or their Web site to ask what the problem is. Pointless Update: there is now a call customer support feature in the app. Haven't tried calling yet.
- You can now tap and pay by simply waking your phone and holding it against the terminal.
- Various bug fixes
