About this app

The free MATRIX PowerWatch app is designed to work with your MATRIX PowerWatch and PowerWatchX.

The MATRIX PowerWatch is the world’s first smartwatch that you don't have to charge.

Powered by your body heat, it measures calories burned, activity level, and sleep using our advanced thermoelectric technology. It is the only smartwatch to feature a power meter which displays how much electrical power you are generating.

The app wirelessly syncs with your PowerWatch and shows you how many calories you've burned, steps you've taken, distance you've traveled and whether you're getting a good night's rest. It will even show you how much electric power you've produced during the day and weekly trends.

The PowerWatchX adds additional capabilities including data sync initiated from the application dashboard with a simple screen pull down motion, watch alerts for incoming calls and text messages along with an associated vibration and three separate activity goals.

This product is terrible. I bought it via the Indiegogo campaign and have regretted it ever since. The watch arrived over a year late. Now that I have it, I wish I got the refund (which they dragged their feet on sending. Shocking, I know.) The watch never syncs, the app meeds constant updating, the run mode is a joke, and half the time it seems like the display only shows the "Matrix Industries" logo. Yes, you don't have to charge it. But I bought an Armitron watch 5 years ago and have never replaced the battery. That thing does more than this watch, it cost a heck of a lot less, and their customer support is way better. Oh, speaking of watch faces! I was promised one that showed a second timer. Well, Matrix finally released new watch faces, and guess what isn't included on any of them? In all honesty, if you want a smartwatch, buy something else. This thing is not worth it. Edit: Another thing! The light? Besides having a terrible method to turn it on (hold down "MODE" button for 2 seconds), the darn thing barely lights up the whole time! It was very clearly an afterthought not worth the delay.

Pretty Rough around the edges I love the concept of the watch but this app is clunky Super basic but yet still does not work well. Constantly dropping the watch and it is difficult to get it to reconnect. This happens often. Too often. It makes me want to abandon the app and watch all together. At this point I am sure that it will not get fixed

No connectivity issues as others reported but that's about it. The glaring issues are that it doesn't sync the data automatically with the watch. This must be manually triggered on the watch with the app open. The most glaring issue is the lack of integration with other trackers, primarily Google Fit. So I'm forced to keep track of 2 sets of steps.
