C'mon! Nuthin like IOS. Sad sad sad. Five years on iPhone and by far the most frequently used app. Now it's just completely off my screen and I'm no longer telling everyone who'll listen the story of the brother and sister who came up with this brilliant useful app in the early days of smartphones. I don't regret the switch to Android but I'm depressed for losing my favorite app of all times.
Love it, use it regularly. This app made my life so much easier upon moving to NYC. Minimizing time stuck on the platform walking to the exits keeps me out of the crowds and gets me to work faster. The interface has improved over the years, and occasional crashes I used to get I haven't encountered in over a year. I've got this on my Home screen ready to whip out whenever I'm going an unfamiliar route.
Has really helped me out! I have had nothing but good experiences with this app, myself. I'm often running late and it's saved me valuable minutes by indicating which part of the train is closest to the best exit for me. Also, I love that it's available offline and is clear, simple and fast. No complaints here!
Save your money!!! DO NOT PAY FIRST ON THE PROMISE OF A POSSIBLE UPDATE!!!! This developer needs to prove they are dedicated to the platform FIRST. This app is incomplete and way behind the iPhone version. It is really irritating to pay for something from a developer who doesn't bother to update the station maps (for instance, the Barclay's Center exit doesn't even exist in this app). Get free NYCMate and download the local maps in that app instead.
Pretty sad app I just bought the android version this morning & uninstalled it an hour later. I did not realize we android users were once again the poor step children cowering in the shadows of the golden ichildren. :( Are there plans to upgrade the android version to the full blown app? If so, is there a target date. If not - very disappointing. I actually repurchased it to leave a review as the support email address was returned undeliverable. I will now re delete this very sad app.
App has not been brought up to date Sadly, I agree with other reviewers on the abandonment of this app. It was updated in 2013 but I have not seen any effort to keep it fresh since that time. Still OK but I suggest putting your money elsewhere.
-New app icon!
-We've made it faster to select the right station in the list (we now remember the spot the list was left in)
-Fixed the crash on the 1 line, the crash upon device rotation, and a few more
-Station updates (more soon!)
Please leave us a nice review so we can continue to invest more in the product.
