Not for military users This is very likely the best audio player on the market. I use this on my Galaxy S3 with a pair of Shure SE215 earbuds, Beyerdynamic DT990 (600 Ohm) headset, and Sony on-ear phones. Poweramp lets me set EQ's based on the needs of each set (600 ohm headphones need different settings than 20 ohm earbuds) and does so phenomenally. The UI is second to none and I am more than thrilled with how it makes my S3 sound, especially with a pair of headphones that cost twice as much as the phone! I honestly cannot recommend a better player, with one serious exception: If you are in the military (i.e. deploy without wifi), be very VERY careful. I just returned from a nine month deployment and used Poweramp successfully for a large part of it. It was only when I started approving the updates that I ran into problems. After running an update, it would phone home at some random time "within 48 hours" (per assorted support emails) of updating to verify the purchase. I had purchased this months ago, yet no one was able to explain why it needed to verify the purchase during the update process. Regardless, the point is this: if it cannot phone home, Poweramp shuts down.
Very powerful and adaptable player I've tried several players but this is superb. It plays a range of mp3, WMA etc formats - it's certainly the most adaptable player I've used by a long way. To date, its played all tracks on my phone! Well done. It also syncs perfectly with my renault car audio - previous players have either not played at all or carried on playing after car stops - irritating. Poweramp full version just works. Finally the settings are comprehensive and really do cover all eventualities I need....thoroughly good product!
This app is totally bitchin' I'm a old vinyl dj and this thing plays my old mixes seamlessly and with great clarity. And even if some of my mixes sucked and the levels were of, I can always tweak the EQ and tone to trick myself into thinking it was way better than I recorded it. Thanks PowerAmp!!! This product was worth every penny buy it and you won't regret it.
Fantastic player.. Sounds clear with nozie eq Everything thing is solid don't listen to people about the back button. They just don't know how to use the simple ui that they made. Only problem I have is album folders.. Like player pro they separate all the songs into each album with this you have to make a folder for the album which sucks but that's just minor update in future I hope "fingers crossed" and WE DEMAND MORE FUTURE TYPE UI SKINS IT'S 2013 But gj on the app
#1 Music Player. Period. This app is well designed, feature packed, and customizable. The EQ settings make my mid-range car stereos sound like a high-end Polk system. I've actually had a friend ask me if I had a subwoofer installed while streaming BT audio. There are so many features, settings, and skins to make this app's interface and functionality truly yours. 2 thumbs up!
Phenomenal The best $4 i spent in my life for the best music player there is and that coming from somebody who has used pretty much all other free music apps.. There is a fantastic built in Equalizer which includes 10 FREQUENCIES available for customizations unlike other apps which offer 5 frequencies if at all. There is also a sick round sliding button for bass. Included with a good headset or headphones the sound quality is top. The UI is awesome. A lot of details but also easy to learn and use at the same time.
