How do I get started?
- Maybank customers:
(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.

The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.

Ratings and reviews

It is annoying when user have to update so many times just to use the current, updated app. It especially a nightmare during emergency transfer and your phone is short of memory. Stop doing miniscule update every now and then. Until the update is well maintained to certain date and time (with further notification! or option that the app to be usable even without update), I wont change the rating.

The worst online banking apps I've ever had. Keep requesting the users to update the apps. I've got emergency and couldn't proceed with the online transaction because the apps need to be updated. With the slow Internet connection I had that time, it was a total disaster.

This keeps repeating since I use use this stupid app. Last year, I kept changing my password because it said the password was wrong and told me to reset it many times. Now, it happened again this year! I know my own PASSWORD! Just because I typed it wrong around 3 times because the screen is wet doesn't mean that you can block me. Then, you tell me that it's wrong and then tell me to reset it without giving any options! Just how many times do I have to change my password just for this app??!!
