How do I get started?
- Maybank customers:
(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.

The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.

I feel that this app is extremely unfriendly. When I want to print the receipt, it takes ages, yet no receipt came on the screen. What makes it worse is you have to log out to get out of that loading page and log in again if you need to transfer to another account. Also, I can't find how to delete some of my favourites in transfer or pay. Tried to look for the 3 dots but couldn't find any. Maybank is a respectable bank, so please seriously look into making this app user-friendly.

Kindly follow the below steps to delete your favorite account on the Maybank2u full website. Log in to m2u - Choose 'Pay & Transfer' - Choose Pay or Transfer - scroll down to 'My Favorite' - Choose (three dots) Edit/Remove. Thank you.

Mae as an e-wallet is a good idea, but merging all transactions into one platform, which is MAE, is a big hassle. We just want effective and secure apps to handle all money transactions. Keeping it separate is a better approach, especially since older people find it very difficult to use Mae. It is very fancy with unnecessary features that are barely used. Push notifications are never able to be enabled, and all transactions have been declined. I guess I need to change my dad's smartphone.

In 2023, still cant develop amazing user experience? Embarassing for a blue chip company. Minimize animations, actions need to be snappier. The transition is slow. On tap, delay then action? Too many taps to perform single action. Not all information up to date/does not match web version (loan paid amount showing zero, web version shows amount). Best to get a good product manager.
