About this app

#1 Personal Safety App

When an emergency strikes, you want to be prepared.

Unfortunately, emergency responders don’t often know your precise location, resulting in 10,000 deaths and thousands more traumatic events in America simply because there wasn’t specific location information.

The Mayday Safety app is safety made simple. It pinpoints your location better than 911 if you’re in trouble. With 3 taps, the app sends alerts with your exact location to your family and friends (and your school, house of worship, or workplace if they use Mayday Safety).

Unlike texts and calls, this personal safety app can send your exact location, worldwide, so you can be prepared in case of violence, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.

Get help when you need it most.

Whether you’re traveling abroad, working late shifts at the hospital, or have teenagers exploring their freedom, the Mayday Safety app is the best way to be prepared for anything:

• Send a “safety check” to your children, and know your family is safe.
• Send and receive messages worldwide.
• Send out a Mayday distress call with your exact location when you need help.
• Create a group with friends so you can easily alert each other in an emergency.
• Get critical emergency updates from your organizations or municipalities who also use Mayday to communicate during emergencies.

As fathers, husbands, and special operations veterans, we created Mayday to help our loved ones—and you—be safer. We knew technology could save precious time in emergencies. And we made Mayday 100% free for everyone.

Join the 22,000 users in 85 countries, and feel empowered in your safety today.

Have contacted the website...have used the app for a few years, migrated to new phone only to find I don't receive a verification code. Checked spare phone and hubby's phone to find they're both logged out and when I try to log them back in, I get the same issue with no verification code being sent. Very frustrated thus far. I'm hoping some help eventuates....

impossible to setup! App is too stupid to get number from the phone so it wants you to enter a code to prove you gave your real number. the app texts you the code but receiving the code clears the screen where you have to enter it. app won't let you back to the screen for 30 seconds. then when you try to enter the code the app sends a new code that makes it all happen again!! After trying several more times I accidentally discovered how to bring back the screen to enter the verification code

We're sorry that you're having troubles. We're still trying to reach you to help and we wish you tried our support system first. One of the reasons we have you enter a number is that the app also works on non-phone devices (tablets). The purpose of the confirmation code is a security feature - we don't want anyone else pretending to be you.

Seems good. Would like to have a widget for emergencies. To have to click the app then hit the mayday button 3 times is time consuming. Especially when seconds count.
