HoverDict is an offline English dictionary accessible from a floating bubble which runs on top of your other apps. The concept is similar to chatheads used by Facebook messenger. You can look up word definitions while reading PDFs/e-books while browsing the internet and even while playing games.
FEATURES:
1) Offline dictionary based on the Wordnet lexical database with which you can look up the definition, type and usage of a word.
2) Audio pronunciations (Requires google's text-to-speech engine)
3) Share text to lookup its definition
3) Auto-search words copied to the clipboard
4) Invisible mode: The floating dictionary runs in the background. Just select and copy a word from any app and a floating widget will pop up with the word's meaning

Thanks for replying, I am looking forward to updating this app! I found those switch buttons when my screen is portrait. However, most of the time my screen is horizontal, since I use it as a laptop. So when I launch the dictionary in horizontal, the bottom of it(where those switching buttons are) will be cut out. Could you please make it happen about customize the screen size? Thanks! Overall, this is a good app!

I really cannot believe how this app only has 1k downloads, That seems just unreal. It literally deserves around 1 million. "copy to clipboard feature to search word" feature is AMAZING. Great work.

Nice dictionary. It should automatically read clipboard when I click float icon. You can also provide settings that user want to autoread and search the clipboard word.

hmm let me think... This is NOT the best dictionary app....YET.it has the potential to be one of THE most useful app in playstore.albeit a very successful one.Here's some suggestion.1.most of the time, people(me) use this app when watching videos.it sits nicely on the upper corner of the screen.but,there is no transparency to dim the brightly-coloured app.2.when switching between plugins,the other plugin that has been switched to doesn't save what i wrote on it b4.it should have stayed on what i typed instead of erasing it :)

Floating window is to much big Good If you make typing window very small and show meaning of specific word in small window as like quick dict.
Great app but can u reduce price for premium version.I really want to buy but price seems high for me.

Hey Kerry! Thanks for noticing the typo! I will fix it in the next update. Necessary utility If you read online articles on ur phone then this an amazingly helpful utility for you. No need to for extra taps and copy pasting long words. Just tap on the Hover dict floater and quickly lookup.
All in one So nice dictionary app. Was looking for the same which will search copied word and will be minimizable easily.
Worked as said Its very to use. In the same page we can have search option and can close our search just by tapping some where.
Bestest dictionary Guys this is the best dictionary. Download this app it will help you so much.
Clean ui, no ads, & floating window. Complete package.
Feature request It needs miscellaneous tweaks. First is that it shows words order inccorectly when typed, as in word "read" it shows words starting from "read". I mean it displays readily instead. Seconds the widget must be resizable because of in tab phone the widget it smaller camparing to mobile phone. So please fix such Issues soon. With these tweaks this dictionary will be most loved dictionary ever on the market.
