I like the idea of whole 30 but had a hard time sticking with it because of meal planning. I love the meal suggestions, and the automatically generated shopping list. Next best is the hands free mode that lets you see the next step of the recipe without touching or unlocking your screen, and the fact that amounts are listed right there in the recipe so you don't have to go back and forth between the ingredient list and instructions. I'm so happy I found this app.
Free version of the app has everything you'd need to make use of it: diet limitations, individual food limitations, automatic meal generation, and most importantly, shopping list. App is logical with its shopping lists in that it is smart when telling you what/how much you need as well as giving you needed info about the ingredients (I've never cooked with parsnips before and app had info to find them in the grocery store) and substitutions. Cooking instructions give you needed ingredients per step which I find great. App has everything I've always wanted from something like this, and the meals taste great. First app of this type that I've gotten into seriously. I'd recommend it whole-heartedly!
I really like the meals so far. Although, I can say that you might want to take some liberties with the portions and the spices used. I'm not very big, I'm actually underweight- but even the "two servings" option, it's not enough for "one meal and lunch for tomorrow" for me at least. Don't be afraid to supplement with an additional side if you feel like it.
Meal planning is hard, no matter what walk of life you are in. This app allows you to pick your diet, pick from how many meals you need and then from a wide array of meals. From there a shopping list is generated which is easy to follow. The meal instructions are super easy and broken down nicely. Love this app, especially for times when finding time to meal plan is hard.
I'm in love with this app! So far all of the meals have been relatively simple to make and they were DELICIOUS!! Also, they've made it easy to make substitutions by just clicking on the item in your grocery list and there are recommended subs, plus the recipes they've recommended use similar ingredients throughout the week so you're not stuck with stuff that goes bad because you only used it for one recipe. My favorite part is how the recipes are set up: they give the ingredients with measurements as you go through each step so there's no need to keep looking back at the ingredients list...brilliant! I've shared this app with all of my friends because it makes it so easy to meal plan and stick to it.
I love this app. It is very easy to use. The recipes are quick, simple and healthy. My only criticism is that I get a lot of the same type of meals (salads, stir frys), but that could be because I have a veggie based plan. Overall this has been fantastic to use to plan weeknight meals!
