Me2 (“me square”) is a webplatform that helps you to be smart about energy. Through me2 you can track how much energy you use at home and for your electric vehicle (EV). You will also receive suggestions on how you can use energy in a better way. Sometimes a little change can make a big difference if many people are willing to join. By using electricity during off-peak hours or when the sun is shining you can help both the environment and your wallet. Me2 will help you decide how to improve your energy footprint.
Not only does me2 help you become more aware of your own energy consumption, you can also see how you compare to other me2 users. In this way you can connect to your neighbors and colleagues to collectively make a positive change in the way you use energy on a daily basis.
Me2 is a product of an international research project enabling a collaboration of partners in The Netherlands (Hogeschool van Amsterdam - HVA), Portugal (Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, LISBOA E-NOVA, MediaPrimer and VPS Virtual Power Solutions) as well as Austria (MOOSMOAR Energies OG). This consortium combines experts from customer and economic related research, software development and hardware implementation. Me2 will bew tested in Lisbon and Amesterdam to better understand how communities' behaviour can influence the preparation of daily energy service needs in a positive way.
