Absolutely love this app, it's got everything I hoped and looked for in a mediation app. Great minimalistic design, option to pre-download and have the sessions offline, calendar integration. I highly appreciate an option to choose an audio background for the mediations (birds, wind chimes etc) and adjust its loudness. The only two things bugging me - GoogleFit integration not working for me. Love the option of pre-scheduling the session in the calendar for a particular time of the day, but would love if the notification takes you straight into the app and start the mediation, rather than just reminding you through the calendar app and then you still have to find the app, open it, and locate the session you wanted to go for.
Started off meditation with headspace. I enjoyed the app alot but the price is a little too much for a student. I am so glad I tried out this app. I was hesitant due to the lack of free trial. But I enjoyed the 1st session so far! The interface is clean and easy to navigate. Definitely recommending it! Edit One thing I have noticed is that it would be great if there's a sound of notification that signal us when the session is over.
Still haven't listened to all the meditations. Might change my review to a 5 later, but it's a 4 right now only because I wish there were more guided meditations for the fields I'm looking into right now, like confidence and happiness. Otherwise, the app is great. Beautiful in its minimalist design, and the guided meditations that I've listened to so far have helped me do the work it takes to find myself. I've still got more meditations to try, and I haven't done any of the courses get, but the app is already worth the cost to me.
Loving it so far! Clean interface, nice calm voice (only done some of the introduction course so far though; can't speak for other teachers), nice selection of sessions, schedule function is nice, and the price was great. One thing lacking: a timer function for solo practice. Very minor issue though, will probably add the extra star once I've tried more of the sessions.
Was using Calm but they have added a lot of extra features and so their subscription fee went up. What I like about this app (besides being free) is that it's like a mediation toolbox. The layout could use a little work but the features are perfect for me. This app follows a minimalist philosophy. It has the essentials and very little fluff. I wish it would stop asking me to share after every session but other than that....I don't miss Calm.
At this stage all I offer a preliminary review: I have to admit already this app is nothing short of a miracle for anyone who has been affected by everyday stress and/or frequent sleepless nights. There is a wealth of information and insight from many accredited sources. I would entertain re-writing a more thorough review, once I've had more time to assess the impact this has had on my various sleep and stress related issues. So far the app has proven easy to navigate and has an intuitive simple effective design. A well thought out app that provides access to a vast wealth of enlightening information. All for 10p! I'm impressed!
