Really frustrating that I can't leave groups on the mobile web but only in the app. Is someone gonna change this? It would also be really helpful if I could stop receiving notifications to certain events within a group because some groups host 10 different events and I may be only interested in one but still receive all the notifications for the other 9 events
This is a good app for the average user but it is terrible if you are an organizer. There is no way to modify attendees on events... I can only do this through my desktop and it is really inconvenient. ** in response to your reply. First, thank you. Second, what I want to be able to do is edit attendance before an event occurs, is add specific people, remove specific people. Thanks! Still a 2 on my scale.
Newest update has made it more difficult to see all events by date at a glance. Please put the little calendar icon back that allowed scrolling in date order using filters for all events in the area or choosing "I'm going". This is nice to be able to see if there are any new additions or events I forgot to sign up for & to make sure I'm scheduling time off work.
I joined meetups four years ago when I first moved to the city and met wonderful people, including my dearest friend. I heartily recommend trying it, both for the people you meet and to discover new things in the area. Edit: To those worried about reviewers' giving low ratings because of push and email notifications, you can turn them off (at least now) pretty easily.
Been using meetup for a while. I have found great groups through it. The new version of the mobile app has a horrible layout. I no longer have the ability to view a calendar/list of all geoups at once. I have to go to each group manually. Then look at upcomming events for that group. Blugh.
Great site to find outvwhat groups there are for your interests. I have a big problem as a facilitator that it is not easy to find the support team from Meetup. Otherwise I really enjoy it.
• Now you can save Meetups and confirm your RSVP later.
• Minor bug fixes and enhancements
