I think I mirror may folks experience. My biggest frustration is that my heat will switch off for no apparent reason. One type of problem is that a new setting is not really applied. The other problem is that the unit will turn on as expected, only to switch off at some random point. So, the wonderful experience is sitting there and noticeing that you are suddenly freezing, and that the heat has been off for god only knows how long. I was a programmer, and this is just not rocket science.

2025 update: took a terrible app and made it worse. Can't even set up schedules anymore and the mini split settings change randomly on their own. Terrible app, it almost never actually connects to the devices. Devices are said to be offline more often than not. When it does connect it works fine, though setting up programs is nonintuitive.

I beg of you, look at the Sensi thermostat app and make something half as intuitive and functional. Their thermostat worked great even with my 30 year old gas furnace. I spent tens of thousands of dollars on Mitsubishi heat pump and the thermostat app is making the experience miserable. Nothing about this app is intuitive. And for a bonus, when you finally figure out how to do something, it'll randomly reset to not working anyhow. If it was feasible, I would return the whole damn heat pump.
