HEY, WHAT SONG IS THAT?
SoundHound makes it simple to discover music playing around you. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home, in your car, or anywhere else. Just open the app, hit the big orange button, and we’ll tell you exactly what song is playing!

SAVE YOUR MUSIC JOURNEY
All the songs and lyrics you discover will be kept in your own personal history, and you’ll have a Music Map to look up exactly where you heard that song you loved so much. You can also connect your Spotify account to build playlists, explore music across genres, and find new favorites—all with real-time lyrics.

SING ALONG WITH REAL-TIME LYRICS
Explore the lyrics of all your recently discovered and favorited music. Sing along, memorize all the words, and you’ll end up a karaoke master. You can also discover lyrics to the most popular songs topping the SoundHound charts across multiple genres and categories!

SoundHound comes equipped with “Hey SoundHound…”, an incredibly powerful way to interact play and discover music using just your voice. Simply say “Hey SoundHound…” and follow up with something like:

Ratings and reviews

Doesn't seem to work anymore. Whatever I throw at it now will most of the time fail to be recognized. Also, seems like they removed (or lost the rights to make available) their 30-sec samples as going through your search history results now has the app skip them one after the other, except for that one in maybe 25 other songs, when a video of it happens to be on YouTube.

Takes too long to load and it never gets a hit on new or slightly obscure songs. Even missed on a popular 70s song lately. The problems started several years ago and i just use the native "Now Playing" function more often than SoundHound even though it misses a lot too. Sorry that you've given up on your user base, I'll give you on you too

The quality of this app's song recognition has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse, especially in the past 3 months or so. It can't seem to recognize ANYTHING from 2023 and misses a lot of stuff from 2022 as well. And even on older songs, it just gets them straight up wrong sometimes. It brings up "My Father" by Judy Collins when I tried to use it on TLC's "Waterfalls", and "We Want The Airwaves" by The Ramones on Third Eye Blind's "Semi-Charmed Life"?! How does it get songs from the '90s so wrong?!

With this release, we are adding support for Android 12; this means users with the newest Android hardware can be sure SoundHound will continue running as smoothly as possible. Now go out there and discover some new favorites you can listen to in SoundHound!
