In many ways this is better than Duolingo I am using this app to brish up my German and to also learn Italian. The repetition is very good and I find that I remember words more than with Duolingo. The memes are useful sometimes. A feature where you can slow down the audio would be good. Sometimes it's too hard to decipher what they are saying. It would also be good in the Speed Review if it would finish the audio before moving on to the next word.
Very good (Mexican Spanish) Very glad they don't only have Spain Spanish, like a lot of other apps do. The method is very helpful and makes it easy to actually remember the words I'm learning (better than duolingo). One thing they could add would sentences to show how a word is used in a sentence.
Great app for a beginner. I would have given it 5 stars but it just has one little problem. I am learning Swedish and the voice for it is so fast that I can barely understand what it says. Maybe you could slow it down a bit for beginners. Other than that, it's awesome
Awesome Best language app I've used, only problem is that I dont have money to pay for the extras, but they're not absolutely necessary so you'll be fine without them. In Japanese it showed me all the signs and the sounds part by part. Instead of just giving my phrases.
Better than Duolingo...still not perfect This app uses various memorization activities to help you learn words, and is definitely more effective than Duolingo in my opinion. However, much like Duolingo, the pronunciation is a bit off sometimes, as I'm using it to learn Spanish and many native speakers have corrected me and the app.
Awesome app! I absolutely love this app, there is no app close to how amazing Memrise is, the app without premium is still very useable and only uses a tiny quantity of data, and for the ridiculous price of £5 per month you can't go wrong. I recommend only learning a language from the bottom up on one of Memrises official course as with them you can be sure you are learning the essentials in the correct order.
The Fall Bug Squishfest of 2016 is underway! So far, we’ve Splatted, Kapowed and Whammed 2 main meanies: images in multiple choice tests should now appear in normal size and ignored words should be removed from the total of words you’re learning in a level. Also worthy of mentioning: the one that was making the app crash when starting Speed Reviews, and another that was cloning results in the course selector menu.
