I started learning with Duolingo which seemed like a better way to learn both grammar and vocabulary at the same time. But Duolingo does not offer European Portuguese so I switched to Memrize. Memrize seems to include more slang and does not include vocabulary at the early sessions, but it goes quickly.
Great app - real spoken language trumps computer generated language. Only 2 thing I'd ask the developers to add: 1) keep my streak across courses and 2) please randomize the words per level. When I'm really in the zone it gets tedious to cover the same (max 10) words per lesson over and over again.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It's simple, easy to understand, and for free. The lessons are fun and I love how you are always getting tested on words you already did, since it ensures you remember them. So many diverse and fun topics and languages to learn so you can learn virtually any thing and about new things. I finish lessons feeling refreshed and being able to use the stuff I learned knowing I choose what I wanted to learn. I also love how in lessons, you and other people can add ways to remember what is learned which I found useful. Ideal for people who want to be challenged, want to learn at their own pace, learn new things, and/or learn what they ACTUALLY want to learn. So...Its for everyone😂 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I really liked this app, why did you add this cancerous chat content for me to endure? I can't even skip it or anything and a single mistake made in words I don't even know resets the entire chat and I have to start over. Please get rid of it or make it optional.
Ive downloaded it long time ago and unistall it after few months. One day, my colleague talk about norwegian, and i can discuss them a little. Thanks to Memrise, now ive downloaded it back and continued my learning on Norwegian & Korean. Love itttt
I've been learning a language off and on for over 10 years, but memrise actually has me sticking with it. Reviewing what you've covered really makes you feel super accomplished. Memrise is interesting enough to keep it fresh and really is one of the best language programs I've ever used.
