I've been using Memrise for only two months and I can now understand about 70% of the things that I read in Italian and German. The app is incredible and I love using it from the PC even more. Memrise makes learning both effective and super fun, and there's a really huge amount of languages that you can learn. My membership also helps me a lot as I get to practice the words that I'm struggling with. Seriously incredible app and worth using if you want to learn new languages. Better than duolingo, in my opinion.
I love the app. Easy to understand, easy to learn. My only problem is that at some point it keeps wanting me to buy the pro. I don't mind being asked if I would like too, but when I say no I want to go on to the next lesson not be stalled because it keeps asking and will not let me go on. Then i have to uninstall and reinstall. That's the only annoyance for me.
I have tried many other apps and have found this to be the most helpful, after a friend who is also learning the same course (Japanese) as me recommended it. The layout is really simple and the mems to help you remember sounds or what the character/letter is are really helpful. However, I do wish there was an option where you could select words/phrases that you might particularly struggle to remember (either reading, spoken, or written) and there be an area where the app focuses and helps you additionally to learn those chosen ones. So you can improve your learning and practice those ones a little more. But overall, a really decent app, clear, professional and easy to understand; it is really helpful.
The app is helpful and allows you to test yourself or practice whenever you would like, which I love. Out of most apps this one is splendid, though I don't know if this only applies to Korean, but many of the characters are pronounced oddly. For instance in many cases the male recording of "n" sounds nothing like n, but like "g" or "d" no matter what. Also, based on the syllable and vowel recordings, sometimes they may sound the same, and it's a game of luck on whether or not you get the right answer. I would really prefer context if needed for the syllables and vowels that sound alike, even if I'm not the furthest into the language.
I can learn different languages with ease and memories them without trouble. Other applications or school hasn't helped me at all but this isby far the top language Lerner app ever but when are you gonna give us something free in the free version?
I strongly encourage everyone to try out this app, it's awesome. Note to developers: i love the new animations you have added, great job!! Thanks. I would like to see a dark mode to be added next, as there too much white here.
