Lacks Only One Essential Feature This app is highly useful for both desktop and Android. The information on radios is quite detailed by layman standards. However, what it really needs to do is advise on the BEST channel. What one needs to know is whether to choose a 5 GHz channel with slightly more noise than a 2.4 GHz channel. I rate 4 stars in part because I'm a fan of MetaGeek.
Useful but hangs on my 2014 Moto X I bought this to do some troubleshooting in my very chaotic WiFi environment. The interface is good and gives lots of useful insights. Unfortunately, it hangs my device after about a minute. MetaGeek support indicated they haven't tested the current version for Lollipop and they happily refunded my money since they could not resolve the problem. I'd gladly try again when they push out an upgrade.
Dissapointed I have used the computer version for years, I bought this tool as a quick way to do sight surveys. It constantly hangs and requires me to restart the application. It would have only gotten 1 star if it were not so darn handy. I really would love a stable version of this application. At which time I will re-review.
Brilliant tool but could be better A bit slow to start up and display information... But works great.. Would like see a time graph thing that shows all networks not only the selected network. Thanks for adding ART support!
Good basic Wi-Fi scanner Works well with my Galaxy S5. Does a good job of detecting Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5GHz bands. If I could have one feature added though, it would be the ability to create a CSV and/or XML files of what it "sees" for Wi-Fi auditing purposes rather than dragging out my Kali Linux box and using Kismet. As others have pointed out, Wi-Fi Analyzer is a good alternative and you can email yourself the results as a CSV file.
Nicely done! My biggest complaint with the free version was lack of ssid filtering. I purchased this just for that one feature, I also like the group my Radio function. I now feel like I don't need to lug a laptop around while testing.
