Good but could be better I think this is a big improvement over Lync. The biggest complaint is that I can't add my Skype personal account as a second account so I can use one client instead of having two open. I know it's primarily a business class client but some level of integration would make things much easier since several of our vendors use personal Skype for communication.
I'M NOT AWAY! (Mobile) Working for one of the largest utilities in the country, we use this exclusively for collaboration. When I walk "Away" from my desk, I'm away! When I install SFB on my mobile device, it's so I don't miss messages from colleagues. However, when my mobile device's screen locks SFB sets my status to "Away"! I'm not away from my device. My colleagues think I'm away and wont send messages. No other mobile message app does this, Slack, Hangouts, FB messenger...... Make "AVAILABLE" a persistent status for mobile!
Still doesn't stay signed in. The latest version will sign in automatically when I reopen the app (admittedly a huge improvement over previous versions). Messages received since the app lost connection will show up all at once when the app is reopened. This is a messenger app that can't reliably receive messages. It's embarrassing that a major software company is behind it.
Not fully functional So, let me start by saying this app is actually very useful. I do use it most days to communicate with my team when I'm away from my desk. My main problem is that there is no option to view shared content (video or desktop sharing) over the network. I can only view this when I'm connected to a wi-fi network. This is extremely limiting and useless when I'm not sitting at my desk or at home.
Woeful. I'm using Lync 2010 instead. Much lighter weight Takes an ASTONISHINGLY long time for my contacts' statuses to appear. Minutes as opposed to the seconds Lync 2010 needs. And unless I'm staring at the open application it sets me to Away. For a mobile app, the status should always be Available, because my phone is on me! It's a completely different concept to a PC. Start again guys.
App crashes at login screen The app opens up, shows me the account from which I can log in. When I select my account, it closes/crashes suddenly giving no error messages. It used to work great on the older versions.
