Overall good but still buggy You can accomplish almost everything with Lync but it still has some major glitches: no sync of messages across all instances, crashes quite often while in and out of calls, hit and miss with opening meetings with Outlook, no Android Auto or Android wear integration, have to reinstall often to get the call back feature to work, no simple click to dial in option.
Microsoft garbage! Please invest in this and fix! Audio drops out, calls dropped or not connected, server connectivity constantly drops. Never looks up a contact. IMs are only in the status bar and then not in the app and don't sync up with PC so are lost on the mobile app. A crime that my company has moved from a PBX system to this.
It will be great if the app permits to change the ring tone to be use with it. For my android device (S7 Edge) the notifications are too loooow and does not vibrate. So an option to change this is definitively missing here. Reason why I gave 3 stars... the rest is OK for usual functionality. And BTW it's having some sync issues with Exchange servers when in comes to receiving messages at the phone and at the pc simultaneously... but not sure if this is more an issue with the company I work for.
Great example of why MS doesn't have the reputation it did in years past. Compared to WebEx, GTM, or even free solutions like FreeConferenceCall, UberConf, etc...this is garbage. Frequent problems connecting to meetings, unable to view screen content from mobile in many cases (probably related to server, but still laughable), and drops way too often.
I, unfortunately, use this app daily. Totally buggy. Somehow, skype destroys audio quality when using Bluetooth. It does not allow deleting multiple historical convos all at once, which can be a space mgmt problem. It basically always says my credentials are bad, but it keeps me logged in. On top of that, it also actually signs me in and out all the time. Not sure why... Overall, it is unreliable and unpredictable, which unacceptable for enterprise applications.
I find that it is lacking in basic customization features. I cannot change the notification sound, I cannot reorder my contacts, I cannot change the automatic timeouts to inactive status. I only use this as a messenger client because my company uses lync and I want to be able to msg co-workers from my phone. Lync 2010 mobile was much better. It seems adding the call and meeting functionality of Skype was too much.
