I used to use an old version of OneNote in college for taking notes. I haven't used it in years until rediscovering it recently while preparing to enter fellowship. The new version is streamlined. The best feature is definitely the cloud syncing. I can take notes on subject matter of interest anywhere. I prefer writing on the desktop software, but it's great to be able to easily access my notes on my phone or even in the web version when I'm at work. I found once that my phone app and desktop app weren't communicating; this was easily fixed by by logging into the web version. Presumably this forced the server to connect and sync.
This has increased my productivity by over 50% . I have been using onenote for over a year now. I also used evernote briefly a few years ago. I cannot do a fair comparison of note taking apps, but I absolutely love onenote. Unlike most other Microsoft products it is completely free. It did not stay out that way though. It is also fully interested with one drive. My only grouse is that it does not have Dropbox integration. But this is a minor hiccup.
Like the app, easy to use. Would give it five stars but haven't used it enough to confirm it's that good. Will come back and edit after extended use. I do recommend it over the stock android memo app (for the simple reason of being able to make a checklist and then easily delete it by holding down the backspace button...really android?).
Syncs across my Android phone computer and ipad. Can separate different sections of notes and password protect important files. Changing the colors and page design is a nice touch too. Love it! EDIT: search function does not work properly!!! When searching it only takes you to the page the note is on but doesnt actually take you to what you're searching for and highlight it like it should. This is a serious problem. Please fix it ASAP. Until then I can not give this app the 5 stars it would otherwise get
Super but why not add simple functions like multi section/ page select delete merge move copy? Cannot select multiple sections selecting multiple pages is a task have to click one by one holding down shift. Make life easy please you are almost there but not quite.
Using it for about a month now.. Haven't explored all the features yet.. Been working a table and found the menu very stylish and user friendly.. But I'm able to create a table and edit it only on my pc.. I synced it to my phone but couldn't create tables or add rows and columns to the existing ones. That was very disappointing.
