So Far So Good Recent convert from Evernote. I don't have any experience with previous versions of this app so I'm not missing functionality that was apparently removed from earlier versions. I'm setting everything up on the desktop version (which is awesome!) and so far I'm OK with this Android app. It would be nice to have the functionality to change section names from within the app, and it should exit when the back button is tapped, like most other apps. I'll update this review if my opinion changes with further use.
No audio note functionality? Please, I beg you, don't take away audio note functionality! It's one of the top features I appreciate. I love to capture song ideas, which can be very fleeting. I've got a whole song idea section that I use to compose songs with later. I know it's easier for developers to maintain something that has less features... But don't take away that one!
Update: New update sucks. There is no need of checkbox shortcut, instead give shortcuts for Bold, Italics & Underline. Salute to Microsoft, no app can be better than this. Best note taking app for everyone! Update: plz give shortcuts for bold, italic, Underline in top bar. Also give option for cropping captured or imported image before posting it to page. Couldn't have asked for more! I don't have words to praise. Very useful app for everyone.
Needs work Need a Passcode. Quick Notes should always be at the top of the list and the default. Need to be able to sort on sections and pages. Rendering of the pages in landscape needs improvement, you don't make use of the increased screen width (but this is not always the case for some reason). Recent Notes needs indexing properly. When reading a page the title should freeze at the top of the screen.
Great, but missing one thing For some reason it doesn't display any auto correct options on the keyboard. Besides that...I like this better than Google keep, since it has more features and enables you to take notes freehand.
Feature-rich and well-thought out. If I could use it. As Microsoft apps tend to be: they assume they own the entire space! Youza, that's a fat app! With 300MB, it jumped immediately to the top of my app sorted by size. Evernote is a modest 53MB, by comparison. At, least could it be saved on the SD card?
