Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.
Onedrive is great for a desktop but the android app is very unreliable. I would not rely on it to back up photos because things get corrupted and Backup get stuck, requiring spending too much time researching the many troubleshooting steps to fix. I'm not alone. Many users have the same problems. Too bad because if it worked it be a great app. Unfortunately it has a long way to go. Turn off sync, plug in a cable and manually copy to the cloud.

Used to be a great app. Now: crashes every few minutes - especially when trying to do the main things it's supposed to do (replicated on multiple devices): opening a file? crash. Making a file available offline? crash. Scrolling through pics? crash. And good luck scrolling through them - most of the time there's not a slider on the screen or the ability to jump to a specific location in the list, so you have just keep scrolling away and hope the app doesn't crash before you get there.

It is very basic. It does sync my files stored in the cloud across devices. The search does not find everything. The view options that are common in windows are not here (android). The developers should spend time on a small screen with slow network speed for a month as the only way to find files and maybe they will get a clue.
