Nothing special, but totally functional Great for accessing your music anywhere via the OneDrive streaming (which is totally free). Also using the free 30 days music pass (basically Spotify) and that works great too. Also, this pass will work on XBOX, Android, IOS and Windows 10 so it is accessible in any place I'd need it which is pretty handy. Only real issue is if you want to play music files from your device, because unlike Google's own, they just don't show up.
Loving Groove on PC, but not Android This app is missing key features of any music app. I can't skip through part of a song, I can't search for music that is on my OneDrive (instead I only get songs from Groove's service that I don't pay for), and I don't have an option to make my songs in alphabetical order, which most apps do by default? I don't think you guys even use this app...also, Groove tends to stop playing music randomly. It just...stops. If I play it, it will start the song over instead of where it was.
Needs Improvement The one thing I miss since moving from Windows Phone is the Groove Music app. The functionality was so much better and smoother. One of the things I miss is the 'select' feature which allowed me to select multiple items at once, rather than having to individually go through and pick each item. It makes it a lot easier to choose a playlist or to add songs to your collection. Your Groove is also an awesome feature that I hope makes its way over to Android. I enjoy the Groove service, but the app needs work.
Looks a lot more like the Windows 10 mobile app, which I really like! Also I am really glad that I can save songs on my phone (Galaxy S7 Edge) which has been a sore spot for me here for some time. But to get to 5 stars Microsoft needs to add the ability to link to a chromecast. Make that happen and I'll be happy as a pig in poop!
Downhill fast The update looks amazing...now if only it would work. The second I do anything else on my phone or power down the screen while Groove is playing the music stops instantly. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same thing. I've had my subscription with you since 07. I don't wanna use another music app but...man...this really frustrating. Fix it.
Getting better... decent update Groove finally got a little love from MS with this update. I still can't view my albums in the order I added them or store downloaded music on the SD card, but I now have a higher-res app that looks much nicer and better playback controls. My music still doesn't go onto the next track automatically, which I think is a bug. Settings panel needs more options and a downloads panel. Overall, it still is too basic for me, but it finally is getting better. Can't wait to see if My Groove will come.
