Ratings and reviews

Downloaded the app this week and then used it while sea kayaking. Used it as a backup to chart and compass on the deck. Set it up to use the openseamap overlay and a custom dashboard layout showing map + route. And widgets for time, speed, route control, distance to next waypoint, direction to next waypoint and cross track error. Perfect. For my next trip I'm going to survey some more local channel markers using this app and then add them to the openseamap. This is a very versatile tool.

I used an earlier version on my old phone and it was great. The latest, however, is a nightmare - incredibly difficult to find your way around (it's not even clear how to get back to the main menu screen) and over-complicated (what's the difference between a 'track' and a 'stream'?). I can't even get it to record a simple track reliably, which used to be a one-press operation. Re-simplify please!

I just tried the "tracks" function for the first time in a couple years, but I see they never got around to fixing it. It just draws a single straight line between two points but doesn't actually record anything in between while you've got the screen of your phone turned off and your phone in your pocket. lol thanks
