About this app

Quarter mile, 0-60 (or more) and absolute top speed can easily be measured.

Acceleration drawn on a nice graph, analyze it, improve your driving skills.

With our star rating, you will know how accurate was your race.

Night racer? Check out "Head-up display" mode - place the device under the windshield and observe the reflection.

Save the race and load it anytime you want.

Important note:
- slow runs are ignored (below 25mph)
- best score isn't always the best (accuracy is important as well)
- measurement accuracy strongly relies on your gps device

How to use Drag Racer?

1. Make sure your phone's GPS location is ON, and the app is allowed to use it.
2. Open "Drag Racer" and put the phone under the windshield (rubber pad, or a navigation handle can be helpful).
3. Wait till there's a green "0 mph or kph" on the screen, and you are ready to go
4. Full throttle :)
5. Stop the vehicle to give it another try

Now useless for timing acceleration. This worked in the past, but now continually waiting for GPS unless you are moving. Occasionally goes over 30% GPS when stationary, and ready for a tenth of a second, and then drops to zero. Other features work if you are moving. I had used this for years on a couple different Samsung phones. It has the best features for acceleration timing, but unfortunately now unusable. Has full location permission and phone set to most accurate GPS. Similar apps GPS work.

Nice and speedy does it!! Only using now for about a week and have done a couple full launch runs with it. I do not have a reference with any official track timing, but the times I got were consistent with the specs for my car, so this seems accurate enough!! I should mention that I am using a separate BT GPS receiver with a rather high update rate. Assuming that the app can use the higher data rates, this will be a factor in the accuracy over those using the phone's GPS. Loving it so far!! 2019-07-07 Update: I contacted the developer and it was so refreshing to get such prompt responses to my questions. I can confirm that the app uses all position updates it gets so my 10 Hz BT receiver enables much more precise speed and distance computations leading to a much more accurate result. Great App!!

Stopped working. GPS signal keeps building, then dropping to zero, even with location permission set to "all the time." My digi-hud speedometer app works perfectly, so it's not the phone or the GPS. they show constant good signal. Turned off battery optimization, uninstall/reinstall, force close everything, reboot, no change. Just does not work. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on 10.0. Worked fine 3 months ago, no updates showing since 2019. Confusing. 2 stars instead of 1 because it used to function ok.
